Maureen worked as an English as Foreign Language teacher in Tongcheng, Province of Anhui,
China at Tongcheng Teachers College. Relationships with Maggie, her Chinese female colleague
and students develop with generosity and patience in Essences of Tongcheng, prose or in
Horizons in Tongcheng, free-verse poetry journals.

​I am Irish by descent and hold Republic of Irish and Canadian passports. Since recent years allow,
I travelled to Ireland to become familiar with my distant country, and enjoy travel across Western Canada during our brief summers.
