Seasonal Updates

Best wishes for good health and happiness from Houseoftheredmug!

Regarding “July’s Dream Book 1,” our Heroine, Pickle reminds us of somewhat trying or even embarrassing times, and of happy events too. Pickle, our black short-haired cat, became our featured “cat image” for my first fiction novel’s book cover in “July’s Dream Book1.”

But, Pickle’s image and history developed out of one visit to local ‘rescue cat cafe.’ He drove his new care givers into hysterics with cat antics like chasing pen lights around their room and apartment, and tearing apart Christmas decorations while being left alone with their family’s artificial Christmas tree. Anyone’s guess how Pickle resolves this conflict.

These days Pickle enjoys lavish sunshine streams through windows showing off his velvet-black short cat fur coat. He looks very fine.

Then, when warmer days descend Pickle scatters to his family’s patio to stroll along wide ledge on their four-foot tall fence framing their second-storey patio. Pickle chooses to stay atop this ledge avoiding chasing distractions on his parking lot below where many tenants might even tempt Pickle with cat-calls. Instead as Pickle finishes his rendezvous to his patio, as reported by one Pickle carer, he strolls inside to even enjoy his share of another carer’s protein drink set down onto his serving dish. Thanks to Pickle for being in our limelight’s in “July’s Dream.”
