Feeling at home in Ireland

Although being Irish in Canada may seem common to many, in my house letters from Northern Ireland arrive with frequency since my very first memories of childhood. Now after becoming a grown woman, I am able to revisit these beautiful countries of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to feel right at home and in the right place. Never in my wildest imaginations did I predict the level of comfort surrounding me with my extended family and two countries who bond together as if one. Thank you for giving me my homeland, with opportunities to research and understand the life my grandmother knew and the one my own mother yearned to live. Now I understand. October 2023
